Critical Meeting: Biden and Erdogan's Meeting Underway
The presidents of Turkey and the United States, Tayyip Erdogan and Joe Biden, have begun their meeting in Bali during the G20 summit, as reported by the Turkish presidential office.
It is noted that Erdogan has initiated negotiations with U.S. President Biden in Bali, on the sidelines of the G20 leaders' summit. Experts evaluate the meeting as "critical," as the official Ankara has not publicly accepted the U.S. condolences regarding the Istanbul terrorist attack, and Erdogan himself accused Biden of harboring Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen, whom Turkey associates with the 2016 coup attempt in the country.
