Macron-Pashinyan Meeting Expected, Elysee Palace
French President Emmanuel Macron is set to meet with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on November 19 during the 18th Francophonie Summit in Yerevan. This was announced in a statement from the Elysee Palace.
It was noted that Macron mentioned this during a phone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. According to the statement, during the call, Macron and Aliyev also discussed the agreements reached during the quadrilateral summit in Prague involving the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, France, and European Council President Charles Michel.
Emmanuel Macron praised the stabilizing role of the EU monitoring mission in Armenia, a decision made based on the outcomes of the Prague summit. Macron reaffirmed France's readiness to contribute to the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and to achieve a political solution, which will allow for the establishment of peace in the region.
