Kurdistan Workers' Party Denies Involvement in Istanbul Explosion
The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) has denied any connection to the explosion in Istanbul. This was reported by Al-Jazeera and presented by Gazeta.ru.
Turkish authorities had accused the PKK of carrying out the attack on November 13 in Istiklal Street, located in the central Taksim district. According to a statement released by the Kurdish group, the PKK refutes its involvement in the Sunday explosion in Istanbul.
It is noteworthy that an explosion occurred in the pedestrian street of Istiklal, one of the central neighborhoods of Istanbul, on November 13. Turkey's Ministry of Justice has declared it an act of terrorism. The explosion resulted in six fatalities and more than 80 injuries.
