Iran's Reaction to the Terrorist Attack in Istanbul
Tehran condemns the terrorist attack that occurred in Istanbul. According to IRNA, this statement was made by the spokesperson of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanaani.
“We strongly condemn any terrorist act directed against the security of Turkey and its people,” Kanaani stated.
It is noted that on November 13, an explosion occurred in the center of Turkey, resulting in casualties and injuries. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan reported six fatalities. Later, Turkey's Vice President Fuat Oktay announced 81 injured individuals and indicated that the country's authorities consider the explosion in Istanbul to be a terrorist act carried out by a woman. Turkey’s Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu has announced that the suspect has been arrested.
