Arthur Davtyan to Receive 10 Million for Unprecedented Championship

Gymnast Arthur Davtyan will receive a one-time payment of 10,000,000 drams from the government for his unprecedented championship, along with over 1 million 300 thousand drams each month starting from December.

This was announced by Sisak Gabrielyan, a member of the 'Civil Contract' faction, on his Facebook page: “Thank you, brother, you deserve it! Currently, around 60 athletes receive over 1 million drams each month from the government. About 70 athletes receive between 500 thousand and 1 million drams. According to the 2023 budget, approximately 500 million drams will be allocated to encourage athletes who have achieved significant accomplishments in sports. This is unprecedented in the history of independent Armenia and is the result of reforms in the sector since 2018. This is the state's and our appreciation for our athletes who have brought victory to Armenia. P.S. Thank you to all law-abiding taxpayers who enrich the RA budget,” wrote Gabrielyan.
