What is Known About Those Arrested on Suspicion of a Brutal Murder in Pemzashen: Details

The second individual arrested in connection with the brutal murder case in Pemzashen is Arkadi Barseghyan, the nephew of Vruyr Barseghyan, who is more commonly known by the nickname 'Tikhi.' This was reported by media outlets. The mayor of Pemzashen, Agasi Vardanyan, confirmed the news of the second arrest, indicating that he is 42 years old.

"The two arrested individuals are relatives of each other; they are from our village, both are married, one has one child, and the other has three. I am not familiar with them, but I know that they do not have a criminal past," he said.

According to some reports, a total of three individuals have been arrested. The publication 'Hraparak' reports that the police are currently conducting enhanced surveillance near the homes of the Barseghyan family and their relatives in an effort to prevent retaliatory actions. It is recalled that, as previously reported, the relatives of the murdered woman and her children attempted to seek revenge against members of the Barseghyan family.

The outlet notes that according to its information, Vruyr Barseghyan was arrested after the funeral. He had approached Zarine Meliksetyan's husband, Sevak Meliksetyan, to express his condolences.

Earlier, it was reported that Vruyr Barseghyan lived next to the Pemzashen medical center. He had feelings for the murdered Zarine. According to residents of Pemzashen, the suspect allegedly went to confess his love to her under the influence of drugs. After possibly being rejected, he stabbed family members.

The knife used in the murder has not been found, but according to police sources, Vruyr stated where he discarded it. However, the knife was not discovered at the location he mentioned. 'Hraparak' reports that Vruyr Barseghyan was familiar with the family's routine and was aware that 31-year-old Zarine's husband was working abroad and sometimes sent money home. He had interacted with the family members a few times, occasionally feeding their dog, likely explaining why the dog did not bark when he intruded into the house.

According to some reports, 32-year-old Vruyr Barseghyan has certain mental health issues.
