Avinyan Surprised by Meeting with Ajapnyak Residents
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Tigran Avinyan's meeting with residents of Ajapnyak on October 8 did not go smoothly.
According to the newspaper, Avinyan was taken aback by the fact that among the Ajapnyak residents, a resident from Kond also attended the meeting and posed quite pointed questions to the former deputy prime minister, hoping for specific answers.
This resident, identified as Mrs. Nairan, reminded Avinyan how he promised, during his tenure as deputy prime minister, to address the issues of re-evaluation and reconstruction of Kond. However, for the past four years, no progress has been made, and the problems in Kond have only increased.
We requested a comment from the press service of the Yerevan City Hall regarding this incident. Instead of a response, they sent us a nicely edited report about the aforementioned visit, where naturally, the conversation between the lady and Avinyan was incomplete and presented in a montage.
In an interview with "Zhoghovurd", Mrs. Nairan expressed her dissatisfaction with the meeting. She stated, “Even when Avinyan was deputy prime minister, he said he was working on Kond, promising a construction project would take place. Yet, when it came time to announce who the winner was and proceed to the second phase, nothing happened. After his meeting, I realized that the city hall cooperates with certain people regarding issues in Kond, which is why things are always postponed like this. I spoke with him, looked him in the eyes, and he listened silently, but did not respond in any way. He seemed to be in his own world, while I felt like I was just the ‘poor person’s radio’,” complained the disillusioned resident of Kond.
