Aliyev Invites Leaders of Turkic States to Occupied Territories of Artsakh: What is His Discontent?
The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, while speaking at the summit of Turkic state organizations, referred to the situation in Aghdam. “International experts consider Aghdam to be the Hiroshima of the Caucasus. Out of 67 mosques, 65 have been destroyed, and the remaining two have suffered significant damage; they have been used for keeping pigs and cows. This is offensive to the entire Muslim world,” Aliyev stated.
The Azerbaijani aggressor also spoke about landmined areas, expressing discontent that Armenia has mined the territories currently occupied by Azerbaijan. According to Aliyev, one million landmines have been planted there, and from the end of the 2020 war until now, 270 Azerbaijani citizens have either died or been severely injured due to landmine explosions.
He expressed pleasure that the President of Turkey has visited Karabakh three times. Aliyev has invited the leaders of Turkic states to Artsakh, which is occupied by Azerbaijani armed forces, and has also thanked the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan for their support, under which a school and a creative center are to be built in Varanda.
