VIDEO: Investigative Committee Releases Footage from House Where Mother and Children Were Brutally Murdered
The Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia is taking necessary measures to uncover the murder of a resident of the village of Pemzashen and her two children.
A report about the residents of house number 10 on 1st Street of Pemzashen village not responding to knocks on the door and phone calls was received on November 9, 2022, at 12:28 PM. An operational group immediately headed to the mentioned address, and upon opening the front door, discovered the bodies of the 1991-born woman and her daughter, born on December 7, 2010, and son, born on June 12, 2014, in the bedroom, all showing signs of stab wounds.
Following this incident, a criminal case was initiated under parts 1 and 2, point 5 of Article 155 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. Within this context, immediate and large-scale investigative and procedural actions were undertaken. Specifically, a site inspection was conducted, during which traces resembling blood were discovered, samples were taken, and forensic examinations were commissioned to clarify the nature, degree, and mechanism of the injuries sustained by the victims, among various other circumstances.
Measures are being undertaken to clarify the circumstances of the incident, the identity of the person who committed the crime, and several other details. Instructions have been issued to the investigative body. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
