India to Supply ATAGS Howitzers to Armenia

The Hindu newspaper reports that India will supply its domestically produced 155 mm ATAGS howitzers. The order has been secured by Kalyani Strategic Systems Ltd, a private company and a subsidiary of Bharat Forge Ltd.

According to Business Standard, the country receiving the howitzers from India is Armenia. This marks the first instance in India's history of exporting such artillery systems. The contract amounts to $150 million, and the deal will be executed over a period of three years.

The company states that the ATAGS has a striking range of 48 km.
