‘Without Iranian Assistance, Armenia Would Have Reached Baku’, Iranian Expert

The Iranian analytical website ‘Irdiplomacy’ has published an article by international relations expert Ehsan Mohaghedian regarding Ilham Aliyev's recent threats aimed at Iran. This was reported by infoteka24.ru.

Noting that Aliyev threatens Iran with military attack, the expert added, “Aliyev is always a losing gambler. He has forgotten that in his youth, when he lost 2 million dollars in a casino in Istanbul, it was Iran that helped him. In Cyprus, he faced even more serious problems due to gambling, and at that time, Iran freed a man who had been taken hostage by Georgians because of his debt.”

Mohaghedian believes that the ungrateful Aliyev family has forgotten that if it weren't for Iranian assistance during the first Karabakh war, Armenia would have reached Baku, and they would have had to seek refuge from Tabriz and request financial support from the Iranian government. “Iran’s patience and restraint has allowed Aliyev to overstep his boundaries. If the tyrant of Baku compares the military capabilities of Baku and Iran under normal conditions and before consuming alcohol, he will quickly realize that his army would not withstand even a few hours against the Iranian forces. To topple Aliyev, Iran doesn’t need to spend thousands of hundreds of dollars. A few drones would be enough for the oppressed people of Azerbaijan to throw him into the dustbin of history,” the expert stated.
