The father of fallen conscript Artur Sukiasyan, Gagik Sukiasyan, was today at Yerablur, where he spoke with journalists about his son’s heroism.

During the 44-day war, Artur’s father learned that his son had received a serious injury and was transferred to a hospital in Stepanakert, where he received treatment for three days before returning to duty and rejoining his comrades.

In response to a journalist’s question on whether such an injury could allow Artur to continue his service and participate in combat operations, his father said, “He told me, ‘I need to go back and reach my friends because they need me as I need them.’”
