During the match between the Minnesota Wild and the Los Angeles Kings, the game could have been deemed boring, if not for a controversial incident that unfolded.

In the second period, Kirill Kaprizov engaged in a hard battle with Drew Doughty. According to sports media, the Canadian defenseman had been provoking the Wild's star player throughout the game, and ultimately succeeded in getting under his skin. Kaprizov lost his composure and struck his opponent in the face with his stick.

Without Kaprizov, the Kings managed to secure a victory. The only goal of the match was scored by Gabriel Vilardi.
