Polyclinic Health Workers to Receive Bonuses: Details
Health workers' salaries in the primary healthcare sector will increase in 2023. Deputy Minister of Health Artak Jumayan announced that this will not be a passive salary increase.
"In other words, it will not be the case that we have this much money and we will increase it to become a certain amount. Instead, if the health worker performs their duties properly, they will receive bonuses, which will then increase their salary," said Artak Jumayan.
A bonus system already exists, but the deputy minister noted that the evaluation indicators are lacking, as well as the funding being inadequate. Currently, work is ongoing to specify these indicators further, making the interaction with patients tangible and facilitating oversight conducted by the ministry.
"At this moment, we have 32 types of evaluation indicators, which we are reviewing. Working with patients, guiding them to relevant specialists when necessary, monitoring progress, involving them in screening programs, and so on. The entire chain needs to be monitored and visible to us. As a result of proper and adequate work, corresponding bonuses will be transferred, based on which their salary will be increased," added Artak Jumayan.
