Group Files Lawsuit Demanding the Illegal Nullification of Land Transfer of Mount Hatis

The "Hatis" initiative has filed a lawsuit demanding the illegal nullification of the land transfer of Mount Hatis by the Akunk municipal government. Garegin Miskaryan, a member of the initiative, stated this in an interview with Tert.am.

“The basis of the lawsuit is the decision of the Akunk municipal council, which auctioned off the land. Our demand is to annul that decision, as it was made in gross violation of the law. The law prohibits the alienation of natural monuments, and the council has made an illegal decision in this regard,” Miskaryan noted, adding that the court has accepted the lawsuit, but there are currently no updates.

It is worth mentioning that the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, Gagik Tsarukyan, is carrying out development on Mount Hatis, where he is constructing a monumental statue-complex of Jesus Christ.
