California Resident Wins Over 2 Billion Dollars
A California resident has won $2.04 billion, the grand prize of the Powerball jackpot.
The winning ticket was sold at a service center in Los Angeles County. The winner's name has not yet been revealed, but it will be made public at some point, as California law does not allow lottery winners to remain anonymous.
After taxes, the estimated cash amount is approximately $997.6 million.
