Was Vahan Kerobyan or the Driver Involved in the Accident?

The Minister of Economy, Vahan Kerobyan, was involved in an accident while returning home from a family event, according to Tert.am. As reported by their source, it was the driver of Vahan Kerobyan who was fined.

The media outlet sent an inquiry to the Ministry of Economy regarding these details, asking whether the vehicle with the license plate 190 LL 60 was involved in the accident, what actions were taken to determine who was behind the wheel at the time of the incident, how many people were injured, including minors, whether the accident occurred during working hours, and why a government vehicle was used.

The Ministry of Economy partially responded to the inquiry, stating that a record was made by the patrol service of the Armenian police regarding a traffic accident involving the vehicle with the license plate “190 LL 60” that took place in 2021. A fine was imposed, which has been paid by the driver. For additional information, you can contact the patrol service of the Armenian police.

At the same time, it was noted that Minister Vahan Kerobyan frequently participates in meetings and various events, even on non-working days, due to his professional obligations, and has regional visits as well.

The media's inquiry directed to the Chief of Police of Armenia has been refused. The police have not responded to questions regarding who was behind the wheel, the extent of the fine, or how many individuals were injured in the accident.
