Lawyer Erik Aleksanyan Remains in Custody

Member of the Chamber of Advocates, lawyer Zhirayr Garagyozyan reports that the request to extend the detention period of lawyer Erik Aleksanyan has been rejected. He posted this on his Facebook page.

“Just now, the Yerevan City Court of General Jurisdiction, presided over by Judge R. Marikyan, considered the request presented by the Deputy Head of the Investigative Division of the RA Investigative Committee’s Serious Crimes Investigation Department regarding the extension of the detention period for ERIK ALEKSANYAN and my client, and decided to REJECT it,” the lawyer states.

It is recalled that on October 17, the National Security Service detained lawyer Erik Aleksanyan based on a request from the RA Prosecutor General's Office.
