Georgia Displeased by EU Candidate Status Granted to Ukraine and Moldova
Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili has expressed dissatisfaction with the granting of EU candidate status to Ukraine and Moldova. This was reported by TASS.
She noted that Georgia has long aspired to be part of the union of states but has only been promised prospects in return.
“Georgia was very disappointed by the process of granting candidate status to Ukraine and Moldova. We are so European and have been for so long that at some point we should join this European family,” she stated.
The country's leader urged not to waste time and to provide Georgia with EU candidate status.
