Elon Musk Calls for Voting in Favor of Republicans

American businessman and new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, called on "free-thinking voters" on Monday to vote for Republicans in the upcoming U.S. congressional elections to establish partisan balance in high offices, according to TASS.

"The separation of powers prevents the worst extremes of both sides, so I advise voting for Republicans considering that the president's cabinet is composed of Democrats," Musk wrote on his Twitter page.

The congressional midterm elections will take place on November 8. The entire House of Representatives and one-third of the Senate members will be elected. Republicans expect to gain a majority in both chambers.
