Video: Weapons and Drugs Found in the Basement of a Building in Yerevan; 9 Arrested
On November 1, operational information was received by the criminal investigation department of the Yerevan city police indicating that a group of individuals was storing illegal weapons and drugs in one of the basements of building No. 109 on Muratsan Street.
The information was acted upon that same evening, in collaboration with the special forces of the Erebuni police department. Nine individuals were discovered and arrested in the basement, all of whom are male residents of Yerevan.
During a search of a 38-year-old man living in Nor Aresh, a Beretta pistol was found. Searches of two men aged 40 and 36 uncovered folding knives. The area was examined in the framework of a criminal case initiated by the territorial investigative body. A loaded Makarov pistol with 7 rounds of 9mm ammunition, a TOZ-type shotgun cartridge, and over 144 grams of a brown powder-like substance were found, among other items. Expert examinations have been appointed. Investigations are ongoing.
