Belarus Accuses Armenia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Unprofessionalism

Minsk has always supported a peaceful resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Anatoly Glaz, in response to the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which today reacted to a statement made by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

“You know, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has taken a rather peculiar position. Loyalty to commitments towards your allies is expressed not through words, but through actions. It is unprofessional to question such an obvious fact. Decency is one of the lines of our foreign policy. Therefore, our partners and allies must continue to be confident in this. If other countries behaved similarly, many problems could have been avoided. It is absolutely understandable that the approaches voiced by the Belarusian President are based on reality; they are understandable and honest in terms of alliance,” Glaz said.

He added that issues concerning people's lives and destinies should be discussed in such a manner, without political games and intrigues.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that Prime Minister Pashinyan, who participated in the summit held in an online format, responded to his colleagues. “Why is the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs responding late? I would like to remind that the Belarusian side consistently advocates for a peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and has made significant efforts for its resolution both in multilateral and bilateral formats. The former and current leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan are grateful to the Belarusian leader for his sincere desire for peace and his personal contribution to the resolution of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations. We urge our friends and partners to carefully listen to the speech of the Belarusian President,” Glaz added.
