Putin Loves Turkey More: Turks Enthralled by Plans for Russian Gas Hub
Readers of the Turkish publication En Son Haber have referred to Russian President Vladimir Putin as a "man of great stature" for his decision to create a gas hub in Turkey, according to Mk.ru.
In the comments section of the relevant news, many residents of Turkey expressed their approval. One user wrote, "Turkey should be a safe port for the world," noting that this pertains to both the "supply of gas and oil through pipelines" and everything that can be "sold to the world from Russia or from the world to Russia."
Another commenter stated, "Russia is Turkey's biggest trump card against Europe." While one user implored, "Putin, give us gas, let Europe need us." Another added, "Putin, you will win, and we will too."
A user known as Ayshenur even expressed that "Putin loves Turkey and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan more than the traitors in our country."
Previously, Russian and Turkish Presidents Vladimir Putin and Tayyip Erdoğan instructed their teams to expedite the creation of a gas hub in Turkey, from where gas intended for Europe will be supplied. Putin proposed establishing a distribution center for Russian fuel following attacks on Nord Stream.
