Decrease in Net Transfers from the USA to Armenia

According to the "Jamanak" newspaper, the inflow of money sent to Armenia from abroad has significantly increased. In September of this year, the net inflow of transfers received through banks in the name of individuals amounted to $309 million 24 thousand.

It is noted that compared to August, the net inflow of money sent to Armenia from abroad increased by $17 million 832 thousand. Thus, we can record that in September, transfers continued to grow compared to August and July of this year, but it significantly decreased compared to June.

In addition, it should be noted that the net inflow from the Russian Federation amounted to $377 million 916 thousand in September. This is an increase of $81 million 167 thousand compared to August. Most of this money is sent by Armenians working abroad, and the funds they send are the main means of living for their families residing here.

On the other hand, the net inflow of transfers from the USA to Armenia has decreased. While in August of this year it was $33 million 293 thousand, in September it became $22 million 614 thousand.
