Death Toll Rises in Seoul Crush: What We Know

The number of fatalities from the crush in the Itaewon district of central Seoul has reached 156, according to the Yonhap news agency. As per the latest reports, 151 individuals have been injured, with the condition of 29 out of 40 hospitalized being assessed as critical.

It is also noted that at least 22 of the deceased are foreign nationals. According to TASS, this tragedy is the largest since the sinking of the Sewol ferry in 2014, which resulted in the deaths of 304 people, primarily schoolchildren.
