Prohibition of Armenian Woman's Entry to Armenia Marks a New Chapter in Armenian History: Margarita Simonyan

Following the prohibition of Russian State Duma deputy Konstantin Zatulin's entry into Armenia, Margarita Simonyan, the chief editor of the news agency "Russia Today" and of Armenian descent, made a post on her social media announcing that her entry into Armenia is also deemed undesirable.

Aravot.am sent an inquiry to Simonyan's press service to clarify who, when, and why has prohibited Margarita Simonyan's entry into Armenia.

In response, Margarita personally replied, stating: "All I can say is that I have received indications from trusted sources that my visit to Armenia is impossible. I have no idea about the reasons. The prohibition of an Armenian woman's entry to Armenia marks a new chapter in Armenian history."
