EU Expresses Concerns Over Increase in Household Appliance Supply to Russia from Armenia and Kazakhstan
Officials in EU countries have drawn attention to the rise in household appliance supplies to Russia from Armenia and Kazakhstan. This situation has raised certain concerns among them, according to Bloomberg.
The concerns of politicians are associated with fears regarding the potential military use of some of these goods and their components by the Russian Federation.
According to Eurostat analysis, from January to August 2022, Armenia imported more washing machines from the EU than in the previous two years. Additionally, in August, refrigerators worth $21.4 million were exported from EU countries to Kazakhstan, which is three times higher than the figures for the same month in 2021.
Reporters have also highlighted the fact that, according to data from the Kazakh government, the country has increased supplies of refrigerators, washing machines, and electric milking machines to Russia.
