Azerbaijan Does Not Allow Searches for the Bodies of Fallen Soldiers: Chief of General Staff
The government has established a relevant commission that is working to gather information about the 25 soldiers who went missing as a result of Azerbaijan's aggression on September 13. Chief of the General Staff, Edward Asryan, shared this information during a press briefing with journalists.
He reported that according to the latest information, 10 bodies have been returned, and through DNA testing, the number of the missing might be reduced.
The Chief of Staff also mentioned that Azerbaijan has not yet allowed search operations to be carried out on the front lines to locate the fallen Armenian soldiers' bodies. “I can confirm that the Azerbaijani side has not given the necessary permission for our units to enter and conduct search operations. Yes, there is a case in the Kutakana area, where we have observed with our drone that the body of our soldier is located near the enemy's position. The enemy does not grant permission for us to go there,” Asryan said.
