VIDEO: Nose of Plane Torn Off During Hailstorm in Paraguay; Passengers Release Footage from Inside

The aviation authorities of Paraguay have launched an investigation after the nose of a plane was damaged and torn off during a severe hailstorm while in flight. According to the Daily Mail, on Wednesday night, while flying from Santiago de Chile to Asunción, flight LA1325 operated by LATAM Airlines found itself in adverse weather conditions and was forced to make an emergency landing.

Footage released shows the aircraft experiencing severe turbulence, with lightning flashing outside. The nose of the plane was broken, and minor cracks appeared on the windshield, stated Felix Canasava, head of Paraguay's National Civil Aviation Administration, to local radio.

Passengers captured the terrifying moment as they flew through the storm before making a sharp descent.
