Layoffs Begin at Twitter After Elon Musk's Acquisition
Twitter has begun to lay off employees following its acquisition by billionaire Elon Musk. This was reported by Bloomberg.
According to the publication, employees of Twitter Inc. were seen leaving the company's headquarters in San Francisco with boxes of their belongings. Sources from the agency indicate that the company is planning a meeting with employees, although some have not received an invitation.
In addition, Bloomberg notes that there are reports on social media regarding layoffs of the entire team of Twitter's data engineers. At the end of October, The Washington Post reported that Musk intended to make significant cuts to Twitter's workforce after purchasing the company for $44 billion.
The entrepreneur later denied the rumors during a meeting with Twitter employees, stating he did not intend to fire a large portion of the company's staff.
