The Islamic State terrorist group has claimed responsibility for a terrorist attack that occurred yesterday near the Shah Cheragh shrine in Shiraz, Iran. According to Mehr news agency, the attack was carried out by a single individual, resulting in the deaths of 15 people and leaving 19 injured.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian condemned the act, stating that Iran will not allow terrorists to undermine its security. “There is specific information that the enemies have developed a multi-faceted plan to make Iran insecure. Undoubtedly, we will not allow the national security and interests of Iran to be endangered by terrorists and foreign interveners who claim to be defenders of human rights,” said the Foreign Minister.
