Former Wife's Current Partner Strikes Man Multiple Times on the Head with Metal Pipe
On October 26, at 10:55 AM, the Artashat police department received a report from the hospital that a 36-year-old man from the village of Verin Dvin was admitted with a diagnosis of "cranio-cerebral trauma." He informed the hospital that he sustained the injury after falling from a tree in his village. This information has been reported by the Armenian police.
As a result of operational-search measures conducted by the officers of the Ararat regional police department and the Artashat division, credible information was obtained that the incident took place in the yard of the house rented by the victim's former wife in the village of Aygestan. The victim's former wife's current partner, a 38-year-old resident of Verin Dvin, was also present during the altercation, and he struck the hospitalized man multiple times on the head and various parts of the body with a metal pipe.
A criminal case has been initiated in the Ararat regional investigative department under the characteristics of causing serious harm to health. As a result of operational-search measures undertaken by the criminal investigators of Artashat, the 38-year-old man was found in Verin Dvin, arrested, and brought to the Artashat police department, and then presented to the investigative body. The circumstances of the investigation are being clarified.
