Chakhoyan's Harsh Remarks About Vigen Sargsyan

The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister of Armenia, Taron Chakhoyan, writes: “There is an important nuance regarding former Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan’s purchase of a $2 million house in the US that seems to be overlooked by the public.

Of course, all of Vigen Sargsyan's explanations, claiming that salaries are high in the US, allowing him to buy a $2 million villa, are cheap.

Now, regarding the moral aspect of the issue. Vigen Sargsyan led the Ministry of Defense in Armenia, considered one of the top officials responsible for Armenia's defense, if not the top one. But after leaving his position, he left Armenia. This only confirms that Vigen Sargsyan, who moved to the US, was interested in Armenia only as long as he held a position here and could accumulate capital to buy a several-million-dollar villa abroad.

This is nothing more than the mentality of an ordinary “migrant.” Armenia has been viewed as a “dump” to scrape as much as possible.
