Identity of Youngsters Who Died in Tragic Accident Revealed

Investigators from the Aragatsotn Regional Investigative Department of the Armenian Investigative Committee, along with officers from the Ashtarak police, have identified the victims of a tragic car accident and subsequent fire that occurred in the village of Oshakan yesterday, October 25.

According to photo journalist Gagik Shamshyan, the deceased have been identified as 16-year-old Eduard Grigoryan, 17-year-old Mihran Mirijanyan, and 18-year-old Narek Poghosyan, all residents of Oshakan.

Their charred bodies were extracted from the vehicle by firefighters and rescuers from Ashtarak using special equipment. A 17-year-old resident of Oshakan, Albert Nersisyan, was transported to the National Burn Center.

According to G. Shamshyan's reports, Mihran Mirijanyan's father, mother, and sister died two years ago in a tragic car accident in the Republic of Georgia. Preliminary information suggests that the vehicle was being driven by Eduard Grigoryan.
