Kyiv Has Not a Cent: Zelensky
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that Kyiv does not have a single cent and has called on allies to provide an additional $17 billion in financial aid to his country, reports the Reuters agency. The information is conveyed by RIA Novosti.
According to the agency, speaking at a conference on Ukraine’s recovery taking place in Berlin, Zelensky urged allies to offer financial support to Kyiv "now, while the war is ongoing and in the post-war period." He added that Ukraine urgently needs $17 billion for rapid recovery.
The agency also notes that during his speech at this conference, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal mentioned that this amount does not include the recent massive damage to the country's energy infrastructure.
