How Aliyev Orders to Distort Maps: Iranian Analyst Remembers Aliyev's Famous Video
When you are not a part of history. Written by Iranian writer and "Sharg" newspaper analyst Salar Seyf, who shared a video from more than two years ago, where Azerbaijani President, authoritarian Ilham Aliyev, visited the History and Geography Museum.
The analyst mocked and recalled the moment when the dictator, unabashed by the cameras, ordered to change the map because he could not find what he claims to be historical Azerbaijan on it. He specifically wrote: "We are facing a strange phenomenon: a president who cannot find the name of his country on historical maps and angrily orders to change, distort the maps. And he does this in front of the cameras, without any hesitation, and then makes territorial claims based on these maps."
