German President Makes Unannounced Visit to Ukraine
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier has made an unannounced visit to Ukraine. Russian newspaper Российская газета reports that he is scheduled to meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky. No further details about the German guest's agenda have been disclosed.
Steinmeier was supposed to visit Kyiv back in April of this year, but the Ukrainian government unexpectedly canceled his trip, citing "close ties with Russia" as the reason.
It is worth noting that weeks ago reports surfaced regarding the cancellation of Steinmeier's planned visit to Ukraine.
