Ukrainian Armed Forces Primarily Need Air Defense Systems, Says Shmyhal
Kyiv is expecting air defense systems and countermeasures against drones from the West. This was stated by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in an interview with the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
Shmyhal indicated that the Ukrainian armed forces primarily need air defense capabilities as Russia deploys kamikaze drones that are difficult to shoot down.
“We are eagerly awaiting the next batch of ammunition supplies,” the Ukrainian prime minister said, expressing hope that the supplies will occur in November.
He added that if proper energy supply, water supply, and heating are not ensured in Ukraine this coming winter, Europe will face a migration crisis.
