Security Personnel of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan Involved in Accident in Yerevan

Today, on October 21, a major traffic accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 04:40, 24-year-old Rushan Tadevosyan, a resident of Kotayk province, lost control of his Mitsubishi vehicle on Myasnikyan Avenue and collided with a concrete barrier. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, a passenger, 31-year-old Garik Hovsepyan from Kotayk province, was transported to the Heratsi University Hospital with injuries.

The driver underwent sobriety testing at the scene and was found to be sober. Residents gathered at the scene, including neighbors, reported that the cause of the accident was water flowing on the roadway, which had reportedly leaked from a nearby location about 1 km above the site of the incident. The flooding condition was blamed for the accident.

According to G. Shamshyan's information, driver R. Tadevosyan works for the security service of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan. The photojournalist also reports that just a few minutes after the first accident, 22-year-old Stepan Yeghiazaryan, driving a BMW, also lost control due to the flowing water and collided with an electrical box belonging to Yerevan City Light Company, causing his vehicle to partially overturn. Fortunately, there were no injuries in this case.

According to G. Shamshyan's sources, driver S. Yeghiazaryan also works in the security team of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. He too underwent sobriety testing and was found to be sober. Representatives from insurance companies also arrived at the scene.
