500 Heavy Military Equipment Presence Demonstrates Our Readiness: Statement from Iran

The founder of the "Armenia-Iran Strategic Cooperation Development Center," Pouya Hosseini, quoted the words of Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' Ground Forces:

“The commander of the Ground Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour stated, 'The Zionist regime is trying to establish bases in certain neighboring countries of Iran by exploiting its relations with some regional countries; however, the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Ground Forces of the IRGC will not allow the Zionists to carry out such actions. As we have previously stated, we will not allow any threat centers to form in neighboring countries.' We do not accept any change in our borders that would harm our national interests and national security. Our presence today in the Aras area and the conduct of these extensive military exercises serve as a message to countries with certain aspirations. The presence of 500 heavy military pieces in these exercises demonstrates our readiness and defensive capabilities against aggressive countries in the region.”
