Video: Why Hasn't Hatis Been Remembered Until Now? Villagers Speak About the Construction of Jesus Statue
The residents of the villages near Mount Hatis are eagerly anticipating the construction of a monumental statue of Jesus Christ. In the enlarged community of Nor Gyugh in the Akunk region, locals express their readiness to support the realization of this project. According to reports from Aysor news agency, many villagers believe that the presence of the statue would greatly benefit their community, creating job opportunities.
"It will become a tourist spot, and we will be able to solve various issues," the villagers state.
Regarding the claims that the statue's construction at the peak of Hatis disrupts the entire natural and historical-cultural monument system, community members respond that Hatis had been forgotten by everyone for decades, even centuries. "Why are they remembering it now?" they question.
