«Now the Role of the EAEU Is Increasing» - Pashinyan
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, stated during a meeting with the Prime Minister of Belarus, Roman Golovchenko, that Armenia and Belarus have a positive dynamic in the development of trade and economic cooperation, significantly aided by the mechanisms of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This was reported by the press service of the Belarusian government.
“Now the role of the EAEU is increasing, as, unfortunately, the world is experiencing complex economic times. I must say that the mechanisms we have in the EAEU are very helpful in such situations. For example, the trade turnover between Belarus and Armenia has doubled this year. We have a very good economic dynamic,” said Pashinyan.
According to Belarusian data, from January to August of the current year, the trade turnover between Belarus and Armenia amounted to $105.7 million. The Belarusian Prime Minister noted that trade between the two countries is balanced, with an increase in both exports from Belarus to Armenia and imports from Armenia to Belarus.
