Judge Arusyak Aleksanyan Arrested

The judge of the Yerevan City Court of General Jurisdiction, Arusyak Aleksanyan, has been arrested. Judge Razmik Marikyan granted the request from the National Security Service (NSS).

This was reported by Aleksanyan's lawyer, Yerem Sargsyan. The Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan had submitted requests regarding the initiation of criminal proceedings against Judge Arusyak Aleksanyan and consent for her detention, which were approved by the Supreme Judicial Council. Subsequently, a motion was filed for the selection of a detention measure against her.

It is noteworthy that lawyer Erik Aleksanyan is also involved in Arusyak Aleksanyan's case, and the motion regarding his measure of restraint will be published today at 14:00.
