Attempt to Capture Nuclear Power Plant in Enerhodar
Ukrainian forces attempted to land troops in Enerhodar using motor boats with the aim of capturing the nuclear power plant. This information was shared with RIA Novosti by Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Zaporozhye regional administration’s main council.
“Last night, a large group of landing boats filled with assault troops from special operations forces departed from the southern outskirts of the city of Zaporozhye and other directions. They were accompanied by a heavily loaded ship. After the city was shelled, an attempt to land troops began, including with the intent of capturing the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. There were several hours of fighting, at least three to three and a half hours. The landing attempt was repelled,” said Rogov.
According to him, at least 30 motor boats participated in the operation.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukrainian forces struck the Enerhodar administration last night with American HIMARS systems, damaging the entry bridge to the city and the “Luch” substation.
It is worth reminding that on the morning of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a decision to launch a special military operation against Ukraine, as the LPR and DPR had requested assistance. Combat operations in Ukraine have now been ongoing for 237 days.
