"Armenians Still Refuse to Provide Maps of Mined Areas": Mamedov Publishes Number of Victims
"Azerbaijan has entered a post-conflict phase. The return of our citizens who left their lands due to Armenian occupation is our country’s top priority today," said Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mamedov during a speech at the International Conference of Ombudsmen and National Human Rights Institutions in Baku. Azerbaijani media reported on this.
The Deputy Minister of the aggressor country noted that over the past two years, more than $3 billion has been allocated from the state budget for the restoration of liberated territories.
"Armenians have completely destroyed the infrastructure of the liberated territories from occupation. Now we must restore these areas from scratch. However, the fact that these areas are mined by Armenians is the main obstacle to restoration efforts. Armenians still refuse to provide maps of the mined fields. Moreover, the accuracy of these maps is even less than 25%. To date, about 3,300 people have become victims of mine explosions," added the Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan.
