Pashinyan Highlights the Necessary U.S. Response to Azerbaijani Aggression

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation led by David Price, the chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Democratic Partnership Committee, as reported by the Prime Minister's office. He welcomed the delegation's visit to Armenia and emphasized the importance of Armenian-American cooperation in the consistent implementation of democratic reforms in our country.

Nikol Pashinyan addressed the aggression by Azerbaijan against Armenia's sovereign territory and highlighted the need for an appropriate and targeted response from the United States and the international community in general. At the same time, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of ensuring the safety and rights of our compatriots in Nagorno-Karabakh. He also highly appreciated the recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the United States.

The chairman of the Democratic Partnership Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives deemed the intrusion of Azerbaijani forces into Armenia's sovereign territory unacceptable and noted the necessity for Azerbaijani units to return to their original positions immediately. David Price condemned the inhumane treatment and actions of the Azerbaijani armed forces toward Armenian soldiers. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of ensuring the return of prisoners of war still held in Azerbaijan.

The parties exchanged views on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue and ongoing processes in the region.
