It Makes No Sense for Russia to Maintain Its Former Diplomatic Presence in the West, Lavrov Says
It makes no sense for Russia to maintain its former diplomatic presence in Western countries, and it is necessary to switch to working with others in this regard. This statement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov.
He noted that the conditions under which Russian diplomats operate in the West cannot be called humane, as staff at diplomatic missions constantly face problems and threats of physical attacks.
“The main point is that there is no work there since Europe decided to close itself off from us and halt any economic cooperation,” Lavrov said.
