What is the connection between the thief ‘Pashi Tgha Suro Lenankanski’, arrested lawyer Erik Aleksanyan and the judge?

The National Security Service (NSS) has arrested lawyer Erik Aleksanyan, and this arrest is linked to the news about the arrest of the judge of the Yerevan City Court, Arusyak Aleksanyan. These arrests are related to a criminal case involving 'thieves in law'. This was reported by Aravot.am.

Specifically, it concerns Suren Avetisyan, known to the broader public by the nickname ‘Pashi Tgha Suro Lenankanski’, and Artyom Ghazaryan, known as ‘Zapi Yegan Artyom Lenankanski’. There are suspicions that a corrupt transaction has occurred in connection to this case, where bribes were given. According to the criminal case, the person known by the nickname ‘Pashi Tgha Suro Lenankanski’ has created and led a criminal group with a high status in the criminal hierarchy.

He has assigned specific roles, and individuals involved in the criminal case have carried out his instructions. Previously, the court had released two other defendants; one of them is Rafik Igityan, one of the recognized businessmen in Gyumri engaged in dairy production, known as 'Igiti Ron', and his son, Ashot Igityan. Rafik Igityan is characterized in the criminal case as maintaining the 'accounting of the funds' collected by ‘Pashi Tgha Suro Lenankanski’. He had also been arrested, but the court released him on bail instead of detention.

The court also released his son, Ashot Igityan, on a bail of 60 million drams. According to the official statement released by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, the individual known by the nickname ‘Pashi Tgha Suro Lenankanski’ has collected monetary resources from various individuals, including from the 'Armar' and 'Sevan' penitentiary institutions.

According to information, the decision to arrest judge Arusyak Aleksanyan is connected to this case. A request for permission to arrest her has been sent from the Office of the General Prosecutor to the Supreme Judicial Council. Currently, a session is ongoing there regarding the agenda of granting permission for criminal prosecution and detention. In a conversation with the media, spokesperson for the Bar Association Silvi Tigranyan confirmed the news, stating that representatives of the Bar Association are currently with Erik Aleksanyan, and they will provide further updates later.
