Lukashenko Discusses His Relationship with Putin

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, stated in an interview with American NBC television that the conflict in Ukraine could be resolved in a week. 'If you, the USA and Great Britain, are interested in seeing the conflict in Ukraine come to an end, it can be done within a week. Even sooner. But you are not interested,' said Lukashenko.

The Belarusian leader emphasized that agreements were reached in Minsk in 2014 to resolve the Ukrainian crisis. According to him, if Ukraine had adhered to that agreement at the time, it would now exist within the boundaries of the Soviet era.

Moreover, Lukashenko declared the necessity of stopping military operations in Ukraine and then determining who is right and who is wrong. He noted that there is now an information war. 'We should not talk about how bad it is; we need to stop military operations in Ukraine and look for ways out of the current situation. I recently said that the world is now preoccupied with a problem, and they are looking for answers to the question of who is guilty. Listen, then we will determine who is guilty. Every day people are dying,' highlighted the President.

Addressing his relationship with Vladimir Putin, the Belarusian leader remarked, 'No one has a relationship at the level that the Presidents of Belarus and the Russian Federation do. This is first of all. Secondly, our relations have only recently intensified and strengthened,' added Lukashenko.
