“They Tried to Explode That Too”: Putin to Erdogan

“The Turkish Stream” is functioning successfully, even though there have been attempts to sabotage it. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Astana.

“As you have heard, there have been attempts to explode it... But thank God, that did not happen, and it is functioning successfully,” said Putin.

According to the Russian president, the supply of Russian gas is reaching Turkey in full volume. “Our hydrocarbon supplies, including gas, are being delivered in full, according to your requests. We are also ensuring transit through Turkey to European countries. Today, Turkey has become the most reliable route even for supplies to Europe,” stated Putin.

Earlier, Putin mentioned that Russia could transfer gas supplies from the “Nord Streams” to the Black Sea region and Turkey. Turkey’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Fatih Donmez, commented on this proposal, stating that it is technically feasible and should be examined in detail.
